In the beginning of the 90s, in their small suburban appartement , Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo started, on their computers, to put together pieces of music they borrowed from others. They would soon become famous and known as the Daft Punk, spearhead of the musical movement named the French Touch. Today, the same thing is happening in the animated images. If the word « mashup » comes from our American friends, the french mashup directors are no way inferior to them. Because mashup is a cinema where creativity counts a lot more than the financial means, and that is built on a true love of cinema.
